About the GLOW Global Experience

Women Empowering Nations (WEN) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide exposure, development, and mentorship for girls of color to accelerate their path to social impact executive leadership.

The GLOW Global Cohort brings together emerging leaders of the African diaspora from around the world ages 17-23 for an immersive three-month virtual leadership development experience touching on topics such as culture and identity, public speaking, personal and professional branding, executive leadership, and social justice and advocacy. The cohort concludes with a global day of service that all members participate in around the world to impact their local communities.

With over 4,900 applications received since its inception in 2022, WEN has attracted an incredible community of young women leaders. This year, WEN selected 100 women from 14 countries to participate in the 2024 Girls Leading Our World (GLOW) Global Cohort joining our worldwide community of leaders. “The exposure I have gotten from the cohort is just mind-blowing. Never in my wildest dreams had I ever thought I would be able to learn from and build relationships with the executives who have coached, trained, and mentored us in this program. I sat in our final session with tears in my eyes. I am forever grateful.”

- Lucinda Abrams, South Africa GLOW Global Cohort member 2022
