Founder Carlisha Williams Bradley Announced as 2024-2025 Obama Foundation Leader
We are thrilled to announce that our founder, Carlisha Williams Bradley, has been selected as a 2024-2025 Obama Foundation Leader! This prestigious program organized by the Obama Foundation is highly competitive, selecting only 100 leaders from across the United States. Out of thousands of applicants from across Africa, Asia-Pacific, Europe, and the United States, we are honored that she is to be part of a global cohort of 205 leaders dedicated to making a lasting impact in our communities and beyond.
Over the next six months, Carlisha will be diving into the Foundation’s ‘Hope to Action’ curriculum, which is inspired by President Obama’s approach to leadership. This is an incredible opportunity for personal and professional growth, as she refines her skills and engage with some of the brightest minds tackling key issues like democracy, civic engagement, and education.
This isn’t just a personal milestone—it’s a significant step forward for Women Empowering Nations (WEN). Since founding WEN in 2009, we have impacted over 9,000 young women across 40+ countries, equipping them with leadership development, global exposure, and career acceleration opportunities. We can’t wait to bring the insights she gains from this incredible program back to further our mission and expand WEN’s impact.
