Meet Amber
Amber is a 1st generation-born American and is the 1st generation in her family to graduate from college. Originally from Kingston, Jamaica, her family immigrated to the US in 1981.
Being a health science student, Amber’s passion for activism extended into the healthcare and social organizing fields. She served on her campus’s PERIOD Board of Directors and Youth Advisory Council advocating and organizing through the framework of reproductive justice to achieve true equity for all students.
Amber aspired to reform current systems from a systemic standpoint, which led her to apply for the GLOW Global Cohort.
